My friend gave me a can of red wigglers. Instead of throwing them into the compost bin, I created my own red wiggler farm based on my hubby's recommendation (ya know, he is a master gardener). With a little research and a jewel of a website http://www.redwormcomposting.com/, I constructed my very own worm farm which resides quietly in the laundry room. View the video below for a detailed demonstration on how to build your own farm.

It's raining, it's pouring
For the past 2 weeks, Flagstaff has experienced monsoonal-like rains that usually occur later in the summer. The plants in our flower and vegetable gardens are crazy with delight. We will take it!
